our approach…
We begin by understanding how you use your kitchen, what is working in your current space and what you would like to change. We then develop the kitchen layout, considering storage, workflow, appliances and how the kitchen connects with the rest of your home.
Once the layout is resolved, we develop the cabinetry design, including internal storage, door profiles, handles and finishes. We help you select benchtops, splashbacks, flooring, colours and materials so the kitchen feels cohesive from one element to the next.
Our concept presentations include plans, elevations and 3D colour renders, giving you the opportunity to see how the proposed kitchen will come together before final decisions are made. We then refine the design with you before preparing the detailed drawings and specifications required to bring the design to life.
We can also help coordinate appliances, hardware, materials and finishes, working with our preferred suppliers to provide pricing and product information where required.

Yes. Cabinetry is an important part of our kitchen design process. We develop the layout, storage requirements, elevations, finishes and hardware selections before providing detailed documentation for your cabinetmaker.

We recommend getting in touch early in your renovation or new build, ideally before the key layout and cabinetry decisions have been made. This gives us the opportunity to consider the kitchen as a whole and make sure the layout, storage, appliances, materials and finishes all work together from the beginning.

You do not need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. It can be helpful to have any plans, builder’s pricing or quotes you already have, along with a Pinterest board or a few images of kitchens, colours and styles you are drawn to. It is also useful to think about what you do and do not like about your current kitchen, your must-haves, how you use the space and anything you would like to improve. The more we understand about how you live and what you are looking for, the more we can tailor the design to you.

Every project is different, so our design fees are based on the scope and requirements of your individual project. We start with a meet-and-greet to understand what you are looking to achieve, talk through the scope and provide an estimate before you get started.

The timeframe depends on the size and complexity of the project and how quickly decisions and feedback can be made. During your initial consultation, we can talk you through the expected process and timeframe for your particular kitchen. We allow time for concept development, presentations, refinements and final documentation so the design is properly resolved before it moves into the next stage.
